1. Project title: Life Cycle Initiative Converter

2. Type of project: Commissioned Project

3. Number of participants: 3 developers and around potential 1000 Life Cycle Practitioners using the tool

4. Scope of the project: Global

5. Period: From May 2007 to 2010

6. Specific Goal: 
  • to develop a tool in order to facilitate the Life Cycle Community worldwide with ways to access in a cheaper and more efficient way to data needed to develop Life Cycle Inventories 
  • Disseminate the tool and its use providing guidance and support needed for a minimum period

7. Outputs until now:
  • Website launched 
  • Tool completed
  • Handbook / website completed
  • Tool freely available 
  • Format converter adapted to consider EcoSpold02 (beta5 version, 2010), ILCD, and EcoSpold01, and to include a mapping of elementary flows between ELCD and ecoinvent database, considering also the new compartments available in EcoSpold02
